BTC Lisp as an alternative to Script
What if we made a Lisp that was a drop-in replacement for BIP 342 tapscript? That is, introduce a new tapleaf version, so that when that’s used, the taproot script is decoded into a lisp expression, the remaining witness data is stuffed into the environment, and the lisp expression is evaluated, with the result that the transaction is invalid if the evaluation fails, and is valid otherwise.
On Ossification
We should strive to make changes to Bitcoin that will strengthen it and allow for more permissionless systems to be anchored to it. I think we all agree that Bitcoin should not become a kitchen sink protocol like EVM based networks, but as it stands today the developers who wish to innovate find it incredibly difficult to do so without creating incredibly complex encumbering logic.
