Wallet Risk Scoring on Base

Assess wallet risk levels by analyzing transaction histories, wallet-to-wallet transfers, and other on-chain activities. Train a machine learning model using known malicious wallets to identify patterns that distinguish them from normal wallets.
Nolus Beyond Ideathon
June 25 — December 31, Online, 10,000 USD
Beyond is an ideathon hosted by DoraHacks and Nolus, the goal is to establish an applicable concept for trust-minimized interoperability between a CosmWASM-based chain such as Nolus and an arbitrary EVM-compatible chain (e.g. Arbitrum, Avalanche C-chain, Optimism, Ethereum, etc.). Ideally, this communication protocol should be reusable across different EVM networks. The goal is to have a smart contract on the Nolus chain perform actions on a foreign EVM chain through cross-chain messages.

✍️ Bitcoin Miners Powering the AI Revolution
Galaxy’s Simrit Dhinsa’s just released a research piece that delves into how Bitcoin miners can capitalize on the surging demand for AI-focused data centers, with U.S. data center power demand expected to grow at a 15% CAGR to reach 45 GW by 2030 (image above). Traditional data centers are struggling to meet AI requirements due to rising energy densities, with server racks that previously maxed out at 40 kW now needing over 132 kW to support cutting-edge systems like NVIDIA’s GB200 NVL72. Bitcoin miners, on the other hand, have secured access to large-scale power infrastructure, with some controlling multi-hundred MW sites and energy pipelines exceeding 2 GW. This positions miners to bypass the 2–4 year construction and energy approval delays faced by hyperscalers. By leveraging their existing facilities, miners could tap into a hyperscaler AI capex market projected to grow from $163 billion in 2024 to $370 billion by 2038 — a 127% increase.

Ethereum’s rollup-centric roadmap, while essential for scalability, presents a significant challenge: fragmentation. The current rollup ecosystem operates in a winner-takes-most environment, dispersing liquidity, mindshare, and users across isolated L2s. To fully harness this renewed interest in DeFi, Ethereum must address these divisive dynamics to create a more unified and accessible network.

A web3 dev tried to solve this with one-way payment channels + stablecoins one wallet, zero api keys, simple and fast API monetisation with USDC on base built as:
– an axum middleware in rust for providers to verify the signatures in headers
– a TS SDK for clients interacting with the api, to autosign the call & add required headers
– contracts to handle the payment channel
